The Deshpande Foundation was founded in 1996 by Jaishree and Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande. Desh is the Chairman of the Akshaya Patra USA Board of Directors. The Deshpande Foundation have been supporters of Akshaya Patra USA since its inception. The Deshpande Foundation's projects include The MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation (Cambridge, MA), The Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship (Hubli, Karnataka), Merrimack Valley Sandbox (Lowell, MA), The Pond Deshpande Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (New Brunswick, Canada), and the Deshpande Innovation Network.

One World Boston is an affiliate of the Cummings Foundation (www.CummingsFoundation.org), one of the largest charitable in New England. The Cummings Foundation and OneWorld Boston support international organizations through the Institute of World Justice. OneWorld Boston and the Institute for World Justice are generously supporting Akshaya Patra's school meal program with a two-year grant of $100,000!

Two Degrees Food
Two Degrees Food is the first one-for-one food company. For every snack bar they sell, they donate a meal to a child through their non-profit partners. To date, Two Degrees has donated over 280,000 meals to school children through Akshaya Patra.
